Astrojyotish ("we", "our", "us") provides AI-assisted Vedic astrology consultations and reports. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We designed the service around a simple principle: your birth data is intimate — we treat it that way.
1. What we collect
- Account data — name, email address, and a hashed password (we never store your password in readable form), or your Google account name and email if you sign in with Google.
- Birth data — date, time and place of birth, gender, relationship status and current life goal. This is used solely to compute your astrological chart and personalise readings.
- Usage data — questions you ask our AI experts, generated readings, purchases and consultation time used.
- Payment data — processed entirely by our payment partners (e.g. Razorpay / PhonePe). We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN or banking credentials; we receive only a transaction reference and status.
2. How we use it
- To compute your birth chart using Swiss Ephemeris astronomical calculations.
- To generate personalised readings via our AI provider (Google Gemini). Your birth chart facts and question are sent for generation; your email and password are not.
- To send transactional email — account welcome and password reset codes — from our service address.
- To process purchases and maintain your consultation balance.
3. What we never do
- We never sell your personal data.
- We never share your birth details with advertisers or data brokers.
- We never use your data to train third-party AI models.
4. Data retention & deletion
You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. Your chart, chats and personal data are permanently deleted within 30 days. Transaction records are retained as required by Indian tax and payment regulations, with personal identifiers removed.
5. Security
Passwords are hashed with scrypt. Sessions use signed, HttpOnly cookies. Premium content is encrypted server-side. All traffic uses HTTPS in production.
6. Grievance officer
For any privacy concern or data request, contact our grievance officer at astrojyotish.online@gmail.com. We respond within 7 working days, as required under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the DPDP Act, 2023.
